Although it’s unlikely that anyone will steal sensitive data the billing information from these sites or apps but they couldbe utilized by identity theft or scammers stalkers to confirm your address and to see how the home looks like both from the inside and outside. You can, however, remove images of your house from listings on property websites like Realtor.com, Redfin, and Zillow. Doing so can keep you (or your tenant’s) personal info safe.
First, you must claim the property’s ownership on each website where you’d like to erase the listing pictures and other details. The process for proving ownership on each platform is different, but the steps are easy to follow. Here’s how you can get started:
- Realtor.com: Sign to Realtor.com with your account (or create a brand new one) Go into”My Home” and click on the “My My Home Tab” to look up your address by using the search bar. Then, choose “Yes You can Claim the address.”
- Redfin: Sign into your Redfin account, and then visit the dashboard for Owners. Look up the address of your property then click “Claim your home.”
- Zillow: Sign into your Zillow account, click on your account’s name, then click “Your home.” Select “Add Home” and look up your property’s address. Then click “Verify the ownership of your property.”
Take the appropriate steps for every app that the app you have listed your home on. In any case the most common requirement is to answer some questions and providing precise details.

- Log in realtor.com.
- Go to My Home > Owner dashboard.
- Choose “Owner View” in the upper right.
- Scroll down to choose “Edit home facts” then “Remove Photos.”

Redfin
- Log in redfin.com.
- Enter your account’s name on the upper-right and then choose your Owner Dashboard by selecting the drop-down menu.
- Within the Owner Dashboard choose the property you would like to modify.
- Select “Edit Photos” > “Hide listing photos.”
- Choose “Yes hide Photo” to confirm.
- You may also delete specific information from the listing and vice versa.
Zillow
- Log in zillow.com.
- Click on the profile icon and select “Your Home,”” then select the property “Edit Facts.”
- Click on a photo, and then click “Remove Photos.” Repeat for all images you want to erase.
- Make sure you modify or eliminate any other information related to the house you don’t wish to include.
- Choose “Save the Changes.”
